Iran Set to Ban Tourist Travel to UAE

While travel around Iran may be a challenging feat for international visitors, it seems that Iran is also tightening its restrictions on tourists from Iran who wish to travel the United Arab Emirates. The news comes as the Iran Government claimed that the UAE was engaging in "humiliating behaviour" towards the country's tourists.

For instance, many Iranian tourists often face strict body searches upon travelling to Dubai. Some Iranian tourists even complain that security guards pin-point Iranians in front of other foreigners, in a humiliating and degrading fashion.

This can be a hassle for many tourists travelling from Iran to the Arab state of UAE. Various segments of the Iranian government and departments will hold a meeting to discuss plans to cancel all tours to the UAE, as declared by an official of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization of Iran.
